“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.”
Daniel 12:3
My aim is old and unoriginal: to be wise, and to lead many to righteousness. The way I try to do that is by writing in service of shepherds, for the people of Grace Chapel and the pastors and counselors of the wider church, starting with me.
And if you are neither pastor nor counselor, pull up a chair. This paper was set for you too.
For the curiousNo church background needed. Just the question you already carry.
For the growingTired of shallow water? Read the discipleship posts in order — From Belief to Discipleship, then Discipleship According to Jesus, then Cheap Grace.
I’m Joshua Kirk. This paper exists to challenge the Church, starting with me, to think more deeply about Scripture and how it meets ordinary life. I write for anyone who wants to grow or help someone else grow: the people of Grace Chapel, the pastors and counselors of the wider church, and every reader who pulls up a chair.
There is no organization behind this, and nothing here gets pushed on you. Just posts, a shelf of book reviews, and the conviction that wisdom is worth walking toward slowly. Theology deep enough to trust, plain enough to use.
I serve as the Discipleship Pastor of Grace Chapel, and I’m the founder of Solomon Solutions.
Grace and peace, Joshua
